'TMZ' Finally Explained Why Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Are Getting Divorced

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are sadly getting a divorce, news that's been speculated upon ever since TMZ dropped an article on Sunday morning saying they'd spoken to multiple sources who said, "Joe had his people contact and consult with at least 2 L.A.-area divorce lawyers and he is on the cusp of filing divorce docs to end his marriage to Sophie."

At the time, the outlet only revealed Joe and Sophie had been having "serious problems" over the last six months, but they've since dropped more details about what went wrong. According to a "source with direct knowledge" who spoke to the outlet, "She likes to party, he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles." (Quick note to say this implicitly and incorrectly implies that there's something wrong with enjoying going out with friends while also being a partner/mom, which is simply not true.)

In any case, Joe and Sophie do have a prenup, and it looks like Joe has asked for joint custody of the couple's two daughters.

It goes without saying that news of Joe filing comes as a huge surprise, especially since not only was he photographed by fans wearing his ring during the Jonas Brothers show on Sunday night....

But in the middle of all the speculation about him and Sophie, Joe dropped a single, caption-less photo of himself on Instagram which featured his wedding ring—a move many fans thought was him subtly shutting down rumors.
