Tiny Owlet Rescued by Florida Wildlife Clinic After Being Abandoned

The poor thing never would've survived without them.

An abandoned baby great horned owl gets another chance at life due to the wonderful care it received at the Sanibel Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife in Sanibel, Florida.

The tiny owl was found in a field were it was emaciated and severely dehydrated. The rescue clinic posted the following story to their Facebook page.

The post reads that the owlet was given supportive fluids, pain medication, vitamins, and nutrition with assisted tong feeds.

@MaryMeredith comments, "Thank you for rescuing and treating these precious owls."@ShonLashon adds, "Bless it's little heart . I'm glad it was found in time. Wishing him or her a very speedy recovery." @Nadinetidmarsh replies, "Thank you for all you do CROW!  You are simply AMAZING!" They really are!

It sounds like this little guy is doing well, and the baby joined the other Great Horned Owl nestling that the care clinic rescued earlier this month. Staff reported they are doing well overall!
