Timothée Chalamet's Bowl Cut in "The King" Has Inspired Memes

Someone tell me how I'm supposed to feel.

Timothée Chalamet may be plenty busy with the new Little Women movie on the way, but the star clearly still finds time to act like a (relatively) regular young person, chatting it up with strangers on airplanes and kissing in the rain every now and again.

Timothée’s youthful spontaneity makes him all the more the ideal 2019 heartthrob, but a photo recently shared of him in the upcoming Netflix film The King is sparking conversation among fans. They still love and support him, of course, but not everyone knows how to feel about his haircut.

As Elle reports, the first image from the period-piece drama features King Henry V, played by none other than Timothée, front and center, sporting what can only be described as a Shakespearean bowl cut. Sure, his expression is stoic, and he’s surrounded by people who we can only assume are looking to their king for guidance, but his unexpected ’do might have just stolen the show.

Timothée’s formerly long, flowing locks have been coveted by fans since he first rose to prominence as Elio in Call Me By Your Name. It’s no surprise, then, that many have taken to Twitter to express their feelings toward his hairstyle switch-up and turn it into a meme along the way.

The King is slated to premiere at this year’s Venice Film Festival, which takes place from August 28 until September 7. In addition to Timothée, the medieval movie will also star Robert Pattinson and Lily-Rose Depp, meaning we might have to stan, no matter how we feel about this avant-garde haircut. As thrilled as I am that Timothée is returning to the big screen, I would like to contribute the following to the meme collection: You can call him by Coconut Head.
