Timothée Chalamet Stays Dominating the Red Carpet

After ascending to world-class actor status, Timothée Chalamet has made a name for himself as a red carpet rockstar over the course of this year. He kicked 2019 off with a bang when he wore a shimmering sequined Louis Vuitton harness (or chest rig, or mid-layer garment, or whatever you'd like to call it) to the Golden Globes. Early last month, he appeared on the red carpet premiere for The King in a silky Haider Ackermann ensemble that featured a highly advanced external cummerbund.

Still on press duties for the Netflix film, Chalamet showed up at its New York premiere doing what he does best: leveling up the suit in a huge way. The suit itself is perfectly understated: black, single-button, with a razor-sharp peak lapel. But the electric-yellow mock-neck underneath pops like a bolt of lightning. The outfit is Givenchy, pulled exactly from the label's spring/summer 2020 runway show. Taking precise directions from designer Clare Waight Keller is an impossible-to-mess-up recipe for a Big Fit of the Day.
