Timothée Chalamet Handed Out Bagels at the New York Premiere of The King

Timothée Chalamet arrived at the New York premiere of his new Netflix movie, The King, on Tuesday night in a neon-yellow Givenchy mock turtleneck. But that was only his first gift. As a thank-you to the throngs of screaming fans, New York’s native son and our favorite Shakespearean thirst trap proceeded to hand out bagels to the crowd outside the SVA Theatre. I repeat: Timothée Chalamet not only graced the theater with his presence but provided sustenance while doing so.

Mercifully this heartwarming gesture from our one true, benevolent king was captured in live footage from fans, who found themselves realizing a dream they never quite knew they had (or, realistically, maybe they did): being given a baked good by Timothée Chalamet. They appeared to accept the bagels like precious jewels, both because they’d been touched by Chalamet and also because, after hours of standing behind barricades just to catch a glimpse at him, people were probably starving.

Lily-Rose Depp’s Chanel diamond earrings were lovely, but Chalamet’s white paper bag quickly became the hottest accessory on the carpet.

Okay, Timmy, we accept these bagels as a peace offering for your bowl cut.

Is this the most thoughtful thing Chalamet has done since having a substantive conversation with a fan on an airplane? Probably! The point is: Timothée Chalamet is the type of guy who both looks to have been carved from marble like a Renaissance statue and has plenty of carbs on hand in case you need a snack. Like the bagels he dispensed, Chalamet is truly everything.
