Timeline of Oregon Project Doping Investigation

On September 30, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) announced that Alberto Salazar, coach of the Nike Oregon Project, had received a four-year ban for trafficking of testosterone and tampering with the doping control process. Dr. Jefffrey Brown, a consultant to the Oregon Project, also received a four-year ban, for being complicit with Salazar’s trafficking of testosterone and tampering of patient records. The bans are effective as of September 30.

The bans came after more than four years of a much-discussed USADA investigation into Salazar and the Oregon Project. To date, no current or former Oregon Project athletes have tested positive for banned substances.
