Time for a Thirsty Deep Dive on Chase Stokes (aka John B on ‘Outer Banks’)
Hello, have you watched Outer Banks yet? Because it’s truly a lifestyle. Like, am I only saying that because I’m currently flopped on my couch living vicariously through Netflix? Probably. But also, Outer Banks is pure escapism, the closest thing we’re gonna get to a beach vacation this year, and—more importantly—it introduced us to 27-year-old actor Chase Stokes, aka John B, aka this dude:
Chase was relatively under the radar before being cast on Outer Banks, which means no one really knows anything about him. Time to change that, fellow bored people.

He Talks to Inanimate Objects
I don’t even know what to say about this, so here’s the direct quote:
“This is going to sound like I should be in a psychiatric ward, but I talk to inanimate objects. Not at, like, a surface-value thing. I like to ask them how they’re doing and how’s their heart, how’s their soul. And then I snap back into reality, and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I’m talking to an [inanimate object].’”

Very Important: Chase Is Single
At least, that’s the vibe I’m getting for him saying this about Jennifer Aniston during an interview with Glamour: “There’s no chance for me, but at least knowing that we both have an Instagram, there’s a slight possibility that this could potentially turn into a conversation, at least.”
Also, apparently, he’s “really, really attracted to intellect,” which is great news for my quarantine body!!!!!
He’s a Pro Ice Hockey Player
Or he almost was. Chase recently said he “grew up predominately playing ice hockey” and was even “going to play in college and then do the professional route” until some injuries set him back.

Chase describes himself as a “water child” who spent his time surfing while growing up “all along the eastern shore.”
