Tim Tebow’s Engagement Ring for Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters Is “Internally Flawless”: All the Details

It was a new kind of diamond formation for Tim Tebow. The former NFL player proposed to Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters at his family’s Jacksonville farm on Wednesday, January 9, popping the question with an eye-catching diamond solitaire ring.

According to People, however, it was the inside that mattered most. When Tebow proposed, he declared to Nel-Peters, “This ring is internally flawless—just like you.”

The prolific former college football standout, 31, then slipped on the solitaire diamond as photographer Kelly Braman documented the occasion with family and friends spectating from afar. The magazine reports that Tebow had purchased the ring in December, even going as far as sourcing a broker and flying this individual down to Florida.

From there, Tebow narrowed down his choice.

“Thank you for saying YES and making me the happiest man in the world,” Tebow expressed via Instagram Thursday. “You’re the love of my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Additional images were shared Thursday evening by the couple’s photographer, who also shared a heartfelt message of support for the newly-engaged pair. “I couldn’t love these images more!!! You can truly see their excitement & love shine,” Braman wrote. “I’m always in awe of God & how He works. How fun that I was asked to be a part of this sweet moment!”

Nel-Peters was crowned Miss South Africa and Miss Universe 2017. Tebow thoughtfully flew her family into Florida to witness the proposal. “I actually wasn’t really nervous,” Tebow told People. “I was excited. I wanted everything to be perfect and to go smoothly. But I wasn’t nervous to actually ask her.”
