Tim McGraw is finding joy and meaning in his less-than-perfect Christmas tree this holiday season.

The crooner shared a photo of his famous family’s Christmas conifer on Instagram Wednesday along with a holiday message inspired by the slightly crooked angel topper.

“Merry Christmas! Hope everyone is finding some peace at this time of year,” McGraw captioned the picture of the elaborately decorated tree. “I know the angel is leaning, kind of a metaphor for life, I guess. But we all have hope for, and faith in, a better world tomorrow…”

“Love one another; after all, that’s the real message,” he concluded.

Though beautiful, this year’s tree is decidedly more modest than ones the McGraw family has celebrated with in years past. In 2020, the country star shared vertigo-inducing photos of himself sitting on a ladder beside a gigantic Christmas tree in the home he shares with wife Faith Hill.

McGraw and Hill celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary in October. They share three daughters: Gracie, 26; Maggie, 25; and Audrey, 22.

Trimming the tree isn’t the only family Christmas tradition the father of three is responsible for.

"Our family tradition for years has been pasta," McGraw revealed in an interview with the Country Music Association. "Spaghetti and meatballs on Christmas Eve. And that's sort of my job as dad to prepare the spaghetti and meatballs. That's a tradition that I've had since I was a child; I hope it carries on with them."
