It's almost the last call for Last Man Standing.

Tim Allen's hit sitcom is right smack in the middle of its ninth and final season, which means we only have a limited amount of time left to enjoy Mike Baxter and his quirky family antics. We can't believe Last Man Standing is ending—again. (Many will remember its controversial cancellation back on ABC before Fox stepped in to save the show. That was rough!)

So, when is the final episode of Last Man Standing? Fox officially announced that the finale will air on Thursday, May 20. That might still seem like a while away, but it's still too soon to say goodbye. Thankfully, the show is getting the farewell it deserves, in the form of a big, one-hour special, TV Insider reports. We can't wait!

The other question on fans' minds is whether former series regular Kaitlyn Dever will be back to reprise her role as Mike and Vanessa Baxter's youngest daughter, Eve. Well, it seems like we finally have an answer to that question, and it's a YES!

Here's what we know. Actress Amanda Fuller, who plays Mike and Vanessa’s oldest daughter, Kristin, took to her Instagram recently to share a video of a virtual table read for the series finale.

And lo and behold, one of the people on the call was Kaitlyn Dever, a.k.a. Eve Baxter. Yay! We're so excited to see this great character one last time.

The video also features a look at the script for the finale, which is titled “Keep on Truckin'” and written by Tim Allen himself. According to TV Insider, it’ll be the only episode of Last Man Standing written by the star and executive producer. What a treat!

We're not the only ones who are sad about Last Man Standing ending. In a recent interview with Fox News, Tim said that filming the final season was "horrible."

"I thought [ending the show] would be a good idea," he said. "It was a terrible idea!"

"I feel like because we show up to work going ahhhhh ("crying") I can't..." joked his co-star and onscreen wife Nancy Travis.

She added that the final season will feature more of what made it so special all along: "Just the everyday things that you ponder and wonder about.... the girls are grown now and they come in and out of our lives and we have grandchildren," she said.

This season has also included some surprises, like Tim reprising his famous Home Improvement character Tim Taylor!

"It was really confusing for me to play Tim Taylor, who, I think of Mike Baxter is an evolution of that character. He's smarter, went to college. We don't know whether Tim Taylor was really stupid or really smart. I mean, I played the guy, I wasn't sure," Tim joked.

As we prepare to say goodbye to another beloved Tim Allen character, fans can mark their calendars for a May 20 finale.
