Tim Allen’s Sweet Message to Tom Hanks Is the Feel-Good News You Need Today

From Country Living

Tom Hanks has got a friend in Tim Allen.

The 63-year-old actor and his wife Rita Wilson recently tested positive for COVID-19, the virus also known as the Coronavirus. He first announced the news on Instagram, explaining that they both got tested after feeling "a bit tired," experiencing "body aches," and having "slight fevers." Tom and Rita are now in isolation in Australia—but that didn't stop Tim from sending them some love.

The Toy Story star, who played Buzz Lightyear for decades alongside Tom's character Woody, posted a sweet note on Twitter addressing his pal's illness.

"I told Tom and Rita that Buzz offered a couple of spacesuits if they need them," Tim wrote alongside a photo of the fictional cartoon hero. "Seriously rest up and get well!"

The actors have joked that "in a weird way," their real-life relationship is just like Woody and Buzz's. So, of course, Tim's message to Tom included a clever nod to everyone's favorite Space Ranger.

Tom did not directly respond, but he did share an update about his and Rita's condition on Instagram.

"We are taking it one-day-at-a-time," he wrote. "There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no? Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball."

Well said. 🙌 Stay strong, Tom and Rita!
