Tim Allen Offered Rare Details About How He Felt Working Alongside His Daughter in His Holiday Franchise

One of our favorite Santa Clauses has turned his beloved project into a family affair. That’s right, after three movies and an ongoing TV show, Tim Allen has brought along his youngest daughter Elizabeth into the Santa Clause universe with him, and he couldn’t be more thrilled!

In case you haven’t been glued to Disney+ like we’ve been, Allen has reprised his role as Scott Calvin/ Santa Claus in the show The Santa Clauses, which follows his life as a family man trying to do it all. Along with his son Cal (played by Austin Kane), his character has a daughter named Sandra, who is actually portrayed by his real-life daughter Elizabeth Allen-Dick.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Allen gave super-rare details about what it was like working with his youngest daughter on set. Hint: he’s so thrilled!
“It’s one of those moments that I’ll carry with me forever,” he said. “To see the professional that she’s turned into, [she] treats everybody well, shows up on time, does her job, works long hours, [with] no complaints. At times, I look over there and go, my kid is on this movie with me. I’m so grateful.”
We love seeing parents and their kids collaborate on projects together, but having your child work with you on one of your major franchises? That’s gotta be so special for them!
Allen has two children in total. He shares one daughter named Katherine, born in Dec 1989, with ex-wife Laura Deibel. Along with that, he shares one daughter named Elizabeth, born in March 2009, with his wife Jane Hajduk.
