Tim Allen shared his thoughts on the alleged crimes committed by his Home Improvement TV son, Zachery Ty Bryan.

An investigative report was published in The Hollywood Reporter on June 22, which detailed Bryan's fall from grace, going from a thriving actor to being charged with multiple counts, including a domestic violence felony for strangulation, as well as an arrest for driving under the influence.

Additionally, four anonymous sources claimed that Bryan had run a fraudulent crypto scheme as part of an agriculture-tech startup called Producers Market.

When asked how Bryan ended up at this point, Allen, who appeared alongside Bryan for eight seasons on the sitcom, responded, "I don't know what's going on with him."

He added, "Zach is a great kid who has grown into a complex man. All you can do is step aside and let somebody go through their process. At a certain point, he deviated from the guy I know to somebody who is reacting to situations that I had nothing to do with and can't control. I don't know what happens when people get corrupted. You just don't know."

When asked for comment by THR, Bryan attempted to set the record straight. About the alleged fraudulent scheme, he said, "This was not me running some shady scam deal or something—that's just not me." Instead, he blamed the startup, claiming that people did not receive their crypto tokens after the company changed its business model.

However, a spokesperson for Producers Market denied this: "Mr. Bryan misrepresented our company without our knowledge, participation or permission. When we found out, we immediately issued a cease-and-desist demand to him. This activity is unacceptable and not a reflection of our mission to support the well-being of farmers and our food systems."

As for the alleged domestic violence incident, which occurred with his current partner Johnnie Faye Cartwright days after he split from his wife Carly Matros, Bryan said it was "blown out of proportion" by the media.

"We didn’t even really get that physical. We got really loud. We were screaming and because we were in a townhome that had [thin walls], everybody could hear. Johnnie was, at the time, just really upset about my situation. At the end of the day, [the police] throw a bunch of counts at you because they ultimately want you to plead to something," he claimed.
