The New Tile Sticker Will Keep You From Losing Anything

If you’re the kind of person who misplaces everything from your TV remote to your sense of self, etc., you’ve hopefully heard of Tile trackers—maybe from a partner or friend who's tired of hearing about how you lost your keys. Again. Today. Luckily, Tile just announced a new line of Bluetooth trackers, which includes the Tile Sticker. It's a small, innocuous, water-resistant sticker roughly the size of three stacked quarters that'll let you track the whereabouts of anything. Anything.

Tile Sticker (2-pack)

The Sticker (available in a $40 two-pack or $60 for four), works exactly like any other Tile product: Tile app let's you track the object's location or set off the Tile’s alarm if it’s within Bluetooth range (150 feet for the Sticker). If you misplace your phone, you can use a button on the Sticker to trigger an audible alarm on your phone. And if you lose the item the Sticker is stuck to, and it's out of range? Mark it as lost in the Tile app, and if anyone with their own Tile passes near your lost...whatever, you’ll get a location notification. It's like having the whole world forming a search party to find your prized Nalgene.

Tile Slim (2020)

Tile also updated the wallet-specific Tile Slim. Instead of being a tall, square tracker that didn't actually fit in a wallet, the new Slim, which costs $30, is shaped like a thick credit card. The company also says they’ve improved its Bluetooth range from 100 to 200 feet.

Both the Sticker and the new Slim are waterproof and feature a three-year, non-removable (or rechargeable) battery. You’ll have to buy a new one once it dies, though Tile will let you trade in an old Tile for a discount on a new one.

In case neither the Sticker nor the Slim are what you need, Tile's also updated the other two products in its line, both of which have a loop for a keychain or carabiner. The Tile Mate ($25) and Tile Pro ($35) each have a 400-feet range and a replaceable battery (that should last a year), though the Pro has a louder ring and a slightly spiffier design. You now have no excuses for not knowing where your gear is.
