TikTokers show the bright side of mistakes with this trending sound: ‘This is a win’
TikTokers are showing the bright side of daily obstacles with the help of a trending sound from Jon Scott (@jonscottwontstop).
In February, a person commented on Scott’s page that they were blocking him.
“Honestly I’m blocking you. I unfollowed a while ago because the constant negativity on your feed is draining,” said @helamalibu1.
Scott replied to the comment in a video but was clearly unbothered by the statement.
“Oh no, I’m devastated,” he responded.
Users are taking his carefree attitude and applying it to their everyday lives, more specifically when a negative happening becomes a blessing in disguise.
“When you forgot to thaw the chicken, and now you have to order a General Tso meal, some spring rolls, Hot and Sour soup, dumplings, and four crab ragoon,” said @westcoastwalkers.
The comment section knew that ordering takeout wasn’t the worst thing in the world.
“Awwww shucks. This is a win,” said @xokristinaxo.
Some teenagers have used this sound to showcase when they are punished but the disciplinary tactics end up being positive.
“Mom: Go to your room and no TV,” wrote @whats_sarahreading.
Sarah described herself as a girl that loves to read, so that punishment was a reward for her.
“This form [of] punishment was not reinforced after dear old mum [realized] that I’d rather [spend] my time in my room,” Sarah said in her caption.
Even young parents have found this sound to be useful.
“When your toddler insults your cooking and says they would like a mcdonalds for dinner,” said @emmalouuisse in her video.
This sound has given TikTokers the ability to laugh at life’s obstacles and turn them into a positive.
