TikTok Video Showing Kate and Two of the Cambridge Kids on an Economy Flight Goes Viral

Passengers on an economy flight were surprised to discover they were flying alongside royalty this week, as Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, and two of her children (Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis) were spotted on board a plane to Scotland. It's a canny move from the royals, given the growing criticism leveled at celebrities and high-profile individuals using private jets at the expense of the planet.

The Duchess was seen disembarking the plane while being accompanied by the family's nanny, Maria Theresa Turrion Borrallo, and one other member of staff (likely security), in a TikTok video that has been viewed over 1.2 million times.

Alongside the clip of the Cambridges touching down in Scotland, text from @turbom1k3y reads: "On a flight to Scotland, both kids, a nanny and security 2 rows in front of me". The social media fan who uploaded the clip also praised Kate for keeping it simple and choosing the fly commercial too.

"Could get a private jet or helicopter but keeping it simple," @turbom1k3y wrote. "Flying economy. She even got up half way through the flight to get her daughters iPad."

In the comment section, they also added, "And yes she was stunning, even gave me a smile while looking back at row behind her to talk to her son."

When asked if the flight felt safer, @turbom1k3y replied to a fellow TikTok user saying the journey was definitely 'smoother' than usual.

Many TikTokers also questioned where Prince George was, and some responded saying it's against royal protocol for all of the royals to fly together – guidance which is designed to help protect the longevity of the throne and avoid multiple heirs being wiped out should the worst happen and a crash occur.

Kate is quite the traveler at this stage in her royal career, having so far completed 31 royal tours and visiting the likes of Jamaica, Sweden, Australia, Canada and beyond.

Nice to see Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte will be getting the wanderlust bug nice and early too!
