Woman spots ghostly image in background of Snapchat photo: 'Scariest thing ever'

Spooky season has long since passed, but Scary Story TikTok is here to stay.

User @saltwavesspanishmoss asked people to share their first paranormal experiences, and boy, did they deliver.

One of the most popular responses came from @hellotefi, who recalled a premonition she got while she was out drinking with friends.

She said she heard a voice tell her to let one of her friends know "he's not putting enough coconut oil in the recipe I gave him."

Assuming she was probably just a bit too intoxicated for that to make any sense, she took the chance anyway and let him know — and he started bawling. Turns out, his grandmother had recently passed away, so he made an old recipe in her memory.

It didn't taste right, and now he knows why — it just needed more coconut milk.

In the comments, @hellotefi said she knew her story sounded like a plot point from Grey's Anatomy, but assured her followers it was completely true.

"This is so crazy," one user responded.

User @thickshamu144 shared a much darker experience.

She said that one day after her brother told her that her mom was looking for her in the chicken coop, she ventured into her yard in the darkness to find her, and boldly stepped in after hearing her mother's voice.

At that moment, her brother called her from the house and said their mom was actually in the living room looking for her.

"If my mom's in the living room, who the f*** just called me in that darkness?" she said in the video. "It sounded just like my mom. I ran so fast."

Commenters were seriously disturbed — and many suggested that it was some sort of evil spirit calling her name.

"I do not claim any dark energy coming from this video," many different users wrote.

"Scariest thing ever, please stay safe," one said.

User @ash122894's spooky moment came in the form of a Snapchat photo.

She said she snapped a picture in front of a big bay window that her grandparents have in their house. When she reflected on the shot, she noticed a man with black hair and "big yellow eyes" staring at her in the background.

She showed the snap to her grandmother, who told her to delete the photo immediately. She sent it anyway, but her grandmother made a frightening revelation the next day.

"I didn't want to scare you, but there was a man with black hair and bright yellow eyes staring at you in the picture," @ash122894's grandmother said, according to the TikToker.

"After that picture, everything just went downhill from there," she explained.

Commenters were thoroughly frightened.

"My whole body got goosebumps from this," one wrote

Many asked to see the photo, but she said she took it before Snapchat allowed you to save your pictures. Hopefully she won't have the chance to ever see it again.
