TikTok says the new Zara 'Barbie' perfume is a dupe for this iconic celeb-approved scent

If you've ever wanted to sample Rihanna's favorite perfume but found the price tag too dear, prepare to have your day made, because TikTok claims the new Zara Barbie perfume is a very close match.

Riri is widely regarded as the best-smelling star in the biz, with her signature scent now sitting comfortably high in the rankings of best perfumes. The fabled fragrance—if you didn't already know—is Kilian's Love, Don't Be Shy perfume and while its reputation precedes it, a bottle of the heavenly liquid will cost you a pretty penny.

Now, this is where Barbie enters the chat. While the film and its infinite collabs are already doing the most to heal our inner child, Barbie is now also aiding our perfume arsenal too, with Zara's new collection providing us with a dupe to Riri's iconic aroma—well, according to TikTok anyway.

Is the Zara 'Barbie' perfume a dupe for Kilian Love, Don't Be Shy?

With notes of orange blossom, powdery rose, vanilla absolute and tonka bean, fans on TikTok are dubbing it a great swap for Kilian's Love, Don't Be Shy.

So, is this new, pink dream of a Zara scent a Kilian Don't Be Shy dupe? TikTok says it's very close.

Love, Don't Be Shy itself, is a floral perfume with a warm blend of orange blossom, vanilla absolute, luscious marshmallow, rose and amber. For just $29.90 (for 2.71 fluid ounces), Zara's Barbie fragrance contains a similar lineup of perfume notes, with zingy hints of orange and neroli, followed by middle notes of powdered rose, with orange blossom petals and finished with a dose of vanilla and tonka bean. So yeah, we'd say that's pretty darn similar!

User @paulreactss says of the scent: "Miss Barbie reminds me a whole lot of Love, Don't Be Shy by Kilian—very, very, very similar. It's a little citrusy, it's really sweet, a little bit of rose, it's a little powdery."

Others have also noted its similarity to Love Don't Be Shy, saying it's really only missing those hints of marshmallow.

Alas, as mentioned, the Barbie Zara perfume is currently sold out online, but you might still get lucky and find it in your local store.
