TikTok is once again debating concert etiquette after footage from a K-Pop show went viral: 'I was so annoyed'

A concertgoer’s TikTok has once again gotten people heated about what is and isn’t appropriate behavior at a packed concert — a conversation that’s been raging quite a bit lately on the platform.

The video, which was posted by @glitterkitty9000, shows how the TikToker’s view of the stage at a recent K-Pop concert was obstructed by an overly excited fan with a sign. Presumably, they were trying to get the attention of the performers on stage, but all they really managed to do was annoy the people behind them who could barely see around the sign.

“I hate sitting in the middle, yall front ppl lucky i need tips cuz im never lucky,” @glitterkitty9000 captioned the post, which now has over 4.3 million views and thousands of comments.

A ton of TikTokers jumped in to say how relatable yet frustrating this kind of thing can be.

“BRO THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME ON FLOOR AND IM 5’1 , I LITERALLY YELLED PUT THE BANNER DOWN MANNN,” one person wrote.

“THIS HAPPENED TO ME BRO, I WAS SO ANNOYED,” said another.

“I had to tell the girl in front of me to keep her Lightstick at shoulder level…..,” someone else shared.

Many others rolled their eyes at the fact that people who hold up signs from far away actually think they’ll be seen from the stage.

“like they gon see it from that far,” one person wrote.

“I would’ve snatched it,” said another.

The debate over concert etiquette is nothing new, but it seems to be a recurring theme on TikTok, where many users have posted similar scenarios.

Recently, another clip went viral for showing how a fan was so excited at a Billie Eilish concert that she decided to sing along at the top of her lungs. The only problem? She wound up being louder than Eilish herself, leading those around her to feel like they couldn’t actually enjoy the show that they came for.

“Your not the main character,” wrote @thefamousmikbar in their TikTok caption.

According to @glitterkitty9000, who posted the latest video, they were annoyed by their fellow concertgoer’s behavior but not too mad at the end of the day. In one response to a commenter, they wrote that the fan “seemed kinda young like maybe her first concert so it’s understandable she was having fun.”
