This TikTok Hack Will Make Sure You Never Waste Wrapping Paper Scraps Again
Wrapping paper scraps may be the biggest bummer of the gift giving and getting process. Instead of throwing them out this year, there’s an easy way you can still use them that will totally change your gift wrapping game. Simply shred the scraps and use them as gift box stuffing!
TikToker @cgraya shared this hack in a video, and long-time gift wrappers are loving it. If you have a paper shredder at home, put your gift wrapping scraps through it. Once they're all through, use them as gift box filling for other presents. Note: Make sure the basket in your paper shredder is clear of any old paper strips first!
The hack is so simple that many people are surprised they didn’t think of it themselves. In the comments of the video, one person called this hack “suspiciously smart.” Others shared different ways they use their scraps—from turning them into little gifts tags to making bows for extra detail on presents.
If you don’t have a paper shredder and don’t want to go out and buy one, you could use scissors to get the same outcome. It’ll just take a bit more time than it would to use a paper shredder. If you want to get super crafty with it, you could ditch that concept and use a paper cutter in the shape of a star or another festive symbol instead. That way, the gift box would have a confetti-like effect inside. Either way, you'll be putting the scraps to good use instead of, well, scrapping them. Happy wrapping!
