'Tiger King' Joe Exotic Calls Out FSU QB Jordan Travis for Seemingly Copying His Merch

Tiger King was inescapable in the early days of the pandemic, inspiring countless Halloween costumes and spin-off series. The man at the center of it all, Joe Exotic, is serving a 22-year sentence behind bars, but that hasn't stopped him from speaking his mind online.

Exotic's latest target is Florida State University quarterback Jordan Travis. The 23-year-old football player helped lead his team to victory over the Clemson Tigers on Sept. 23. Last year, he brought down another Tigers team when the Seminoles triumphed over Louisiana State University.

To commemorate the Clemson win, Travis began selling a new T-shirt depicting him wearing a crown and sitting on a throne with a pair of tigers next to him. The shirt brands him as the "College King," a seemingly subtle nod to the Tiger King name, and is available for $31.24—the final score of the recent Clemson game. It's not the first time he's done this; he released a similar shirt featuring just one tiger after the LSU win last year.

Needless to say, the real-life Tiger King wasn't happy with the new apparel. In a social media post, Exotic called for legal action against the FSU quarterback.

"Jordan Travis was 6 years old when I became The Tiger King," he wrote. "It is my trademark, my intellectual property and I'm sick of others cashing in on my trademark just because President Biden cares nothing about me being wrongfully in prison in America."

"I will give ANY ATTORNEY 80 percent of a settlement to sue Jordan Travis and ALL companies selling stuff using Tiger King," he continued. "[It's] time quarterbacks and anyone else in this country stops stealing from others. Which attorney would like to take this multimillion dollar case? DM me!"

"Until Jordan Travis walks in a cage with 20 full grown tigers and kisses them on the head, leave the Tiger King business to me," he concluded.

Guess Travis should consider himself lucky he only has to tackle humans and not big cats.
