Editors' Picks are the Fashionista team's true (#notspon) fashion and beauty obsessions, handpicked by professionals who see it all.

One of my favorite things in fashion is when luxury brands incorporate aesthetics that venture outside their usual tropes. Sometimes, this results in a major miss (see: Balenciaga's saggy jeans that some critics called racist), but in other instances, it can come off as creative and playful. A great example of the latter is the resurgence of wrap-around glasses, and luxury designers' takes on the popular early aughts style.

That's why Tiffany & Co.'s new shades immediately captured my attention. Made from Tiffany-blue acetate — with "Return to Tiffany" inscribed on the silver detailing — the wrap-around sunglasses embody both luxury and nostalgia. The silhouette harkens back to the eyewear I used to see in gas stations on road trips across the Midwest growing up — but, you know, fancy and Tiffany-ified. They feel like something a chic Guy Fieri might wear, and that delights me.

Tiffany is far from alone in brining back this trend: Kim Kardashian and Bella Hadid are among the celebrities who have worn wrap-around eyewear as of late. We've also seen similar styles from the likes of Heron Preston, Rick Owens and, again, Balenciaga. But what I love about Tiffany's iteration is that it's simply so playful and unserious. When the same brand that brought us Elsa Peretti's timeless sculptural cuffs gets in on a slightly cheesy throwback trend, I can't help but be delighted.
