‘Tie-Dye King’ makes stunning floral bed sheets in TikTok video

Wyatt Cannon is the self-described “Tie-Dye King.” Quite frankly, anyone who’d like to challenge his title should take a look at his TikTok page. Cannon hasn’t just mastered your standard abstract tie-dye prints, he also designs targeted patterns and recognizable shapes.

The pro makes creating a pink rainbow heart or double spirals look like a breeze. For one of his projects, Cannon made tie-dye flower bed sheets

First, he folds the sheet into an eight-pointed star. Next, Cannon wraps it into a tight spiral. He secures it in place using rubber bands. Now the dyeing begins. The artist opts for fuchsia, turquoise, blue and yellow. Cannon places the sheet in a plastic bag and lets it rest for 24 hours. When he unravels it the next day, the end result is stunning.

The large blue sheet now features a massive flower at the center. In typical tie-dye style, the flower is small at the center while fanning out in different, colorful layers to make a larger one. The Tie-Dye King reigns supreme another day.

The tutorial received 1.5 million views.

“My jaw dropped at the reveal,” one TikTok user wrote

“That would make a beautiful tapestry!” someone commented.

“That’s so cool would pay big bucks,” another user said

Tie-dye has been around since 4000 B.C. It’s believed to have originated with Indian Bandhani or Eastern Japanese Shibori, two similar methods of dyeing textiles that require manipulating the fabric with ties. But the practice became popular in the U.S. during the 1960s as an anti-capitalist statement where people could make their own unique prints rather than shopping at a store.

  • These trendy socks are temperature-controlled and celebrity-approved

With many people confined to smaller spaces due to quarantine, the blood circulation in their feet might possibly be reduced as a result of longer times spent sitting and less frequent movement. An easily applied and cost-effective remedy for poor circulation is to swap your standard gym socks for compression socks, which experts say are worth the investment. This initial reaction is fully justified, but the benefits that these products provide aren’t exclusive to those with blood circulation problems, those with foot pain or the elderly.
