From tickets to talent, here's everything you need to know before going to Geek'd Con

Geek'd Con is back at the Convention Center in downtown Shreveport this weekend August 18-20. Guests will be able to shop with vendors to purchase geeky items and memorabilia of all kinds, meet some of their favorite actors and comic book designers and more.

Check out everything you need to know before you go to Geek'd Con this weekend.

Tickets & Hours

  • Friday, August 18 - $20 Advanced / $30 Box Office

  • Saturday, August 19 - $40 Advanced / $50 Box Office

  • Sunday, August 20 - $25 Advanced / $35 Box Office

  • Weekend - $50 Advanced / $70 Box Office

  • Kids Weekend - $10 Advanced / $15 Box Office

  • Kids 5 years old and younger are free.

Active-duty military can get 25 percent off their tickets when they purchase them at the box office. You must present your active-duty military ID to receive the discount.

Parking is free all weekend in the Shreveport Convention Center parking garage.

Talent

John Barrowman was Captain Jack Harkness, a man who crosses paths with the Doctor and Rose and becomes immortal during his adventures with them. He appeared in three seasons of the series before taking over a lead role in the "Doctor Who" spinoff, "Torchwood." More recently, Barrowman has been featured in the CW comic series "Arrow," "The Flash" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."

Autographs and Photo Ops Information

  • Pre-purchase your photo / autographs at the Geek'd Con Eventbrite page.

  • You must have your autograph or photo package purchased in advance to meet talent. They will only be signing for a limited period of time and only be able to do photo ops for a few hours.

  • Purchase of an autograph or photo package does not get you admission into Geek'd Con. You must purchase a ticket as well.

  • All autographs with talent will take place at their guest table on the main floor, all pre-signed items will be signed during a private signing event.

  • Refunds are only available if the talent cannot make the show.

  • No autograph requests are allowed during the photo op time periods, you may be asked to leave the event if you request an autograph.

  • All talent reserves the right to not sign anything they deem to be inappropriate or concerning in any way.

Due to the writer's and actor's strike happening in Hollywood, some talent may be unable to talk about upcoming projects or have photos and items for you to have signed.

It's best to bring items and photos you would like to have autographed in case your talent is unable to provide something.

Guests are encouraged to come in cosplay to the convention.
