Tia Mowry Welcomes Baby No. 2 With Husband Cory Hardrict
Tia Mowry is a mommy twice over. The Game actress and husband Cory Hardrict welcomed a baby girl yesterday morning, giving their 6-year-old son, Cree, a sister (sister)!
We got our first glimpse at the darling little one from Mowry’s Instagram this morning, where she posted a pic of herself holding her newborn. “Feeling grateful and blessed as we welcome our little baby girl into the world,” she wrote.
Though she has yet to share her daughter’s name, she did share some of her stats, adding, “Born May 5 at 10:29am at 6 pounds, 4 ounces, 19.8 inches. We are in heaven.”
Hardrict, who married the famous twin back in 2008, was overcome with emotion during his little girl’s arrival, which he shared with fans in a sweet tear-filled selfie. “Grown man tears,” he said. “Baby girl is near. Prayers up.”
He had reason to be weepy: As Mowry revealed to Women’s Health, the family struggled to conceive due to her ongoing battle with endometriosis, a painful disorder which sees tissue growing outside the uterus and can cause infertility.
Mowry underwent two surgeries and a major change in diet to treat her disorder. “I don’t think I could have gotten through this process without the support of my husband,” she told the publication.
Still, all’s well that ends well. “I find when you go through some kind of struggle the reward is just so much greater,” she added.
Tia’s twin Tamara Mowry incidentally also has two children of her own.
