Tia Blanco Shares Engagement to Brody Jenner

Pro surfer Tia Blanco is officially engaged to reality TV star, Brody Jenner.

At the baby shower for the couple’s coming child – they’re expecting a girl – Jenner popped the question while surrounded by friends and family. And then, the couple announced the big news via social media with photos and videos.

The caption for Tia’s post read:

“Still feel like I am dreaming 💍 💗 please don’t pinch me!!! Yesterday was the most beautiful baby shower that ended with a proposal from the man of my dreams. It was so special to share these moments with the people we love so much. I know baby girl felt all the love in there!!! Big thank you to the hostess with the mostest @ltlindathompson for putting together such a lovely ‘tiara & teacups’ shower for us 🫖 👑 💗 I can’t wait to marry you @brodyjenner !!!”

In another post showing Brody dropping to his knee, flocks of pro surfers chimed in to share their congratulations:

Tia – who moved around a lot as a kid, since her dad was in the military, but ultimately landed in San Clemente, California – has been on the surf scene for quite some time now, winning multiple gold medals at the ISA World Surfing Games.

She also won ABC’s now cancelled, The Ultimate Surfer, alongside Hawaiian powerhouse Zeke Lau, which earned her a couple wildcard slots in the World Surf League’s Championship Tour.

On the 2022 Championship Tour, she competed at the Meo Pro Portugal, the Surf City El Salvador Pro, and the Corona Open J-Bay – with her best results being ninth place finishes at J-Bay and in El Salvador.

But since then, and since her pregnancy, Tia’s competitive career has taken a backseat.

As for Jenner, who’s most well-known for starring on MTV’s The Hills, in addition to his tabloid-friendly last name, he’s a surfer, too. He’s shared multiple clips of him riding waves, including one lengthy drainer from a visit to Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch.

So, there’s a new (or first?) reality TV/surfing power couple on the block. Wonder which path their incoming baby will take. Perhaps both?
