This is the mascara I’ve been using for 3 years that makes my lashes look so long, people ask if I have extensions

I grew up competing on a dance team, so I know all about wearing oversized false eyelashes — I also hate wearing them. I love how they look, but false lashes usually feel too heavy on my eyes and removing them is a pain. That said, I’ve tried getting a lash tint and considered getting extensions, but I found none of it is necessary when I use Thrive Causemetic’s Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara.

Available in black, brown and blue.

As you can probably tell from the product’s name, the Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara really makes your lashes look longer and fuller. It’s a tubing mascara, which essentially means the formula wraps itself around each lash to elongate it. It’s also is flake-free, and according to the product description, it actually contains Orchid Stem Cell Complex to support healthy lashes. Plus, it’s easy to remove — all you need is warm water and a wash cloth — no makeup remover required.

My mom actually found this mascara and gave me my first tube at least three years ago. I’ve used it nearly every day since then, and people are constantly asking me if I have extensions or what mascara I use. She started using it because she wears contacts and has incredibly sensitive eyes. Thrive Causemetic’s mascara formula is very gentle, and it’s dermatologist and ophthalmologist-approved.

Before this, I used Too Faced’s Better Than Sex mascara and I love how it made my lashes look. However, it often transferred under my eyes, especially on a hot summer day, leaving noticeable black marks. With Thrive’s, it never transfers and it totally stays on. I’ve worn the to a SoulCycle class and to swim in a pool, and it still didn’t budge. However, to take it off at night I simply use a washcloth and warm water to rub it off. It’s like magic.

More than 34,000 people have left a review on Thrive Causemetic’s website for the mascara too, and people love it.

“The best mascara I have ever tried,” wrote one customer. “It really does give me that fuller look of having extensions on. A bonus is with all this hot weather, it does not smudge underneath my eyes. I have such a problem with that, even with the waterproof mascaras. Love this stuff and it will be my go to from now on.”

If you’ve never heard of the brand, you may notice that it purposely spells cosmetics like “Causemetics.” Thrive Causemetics was founded by makeup artist and product developer, Karissa Bodnar. According to the brand’s website, she was inspired to start her brand after her friend passed away from cancer at only 24 years old. “Kristy’s compassionate and vivacious spirit inspired Karissa to establish Thrive Causemetics, a beauty brand and philosophy that goes beyond skin deep by empowering diverse communities,” it reads.

With that in mind, the brand gives back to a range of nonprofits with every purchase. Its Giving Partners include nonprofits that aid cancer, homelessness, domestic abuse, veterans, racial and social justice, LGBTQ+ and more. The brand also prides itself on its clean, vegan, 100% cruelty-free formulas. So not only do I love its mascara, I feel good knowing that my purchase has a part in helping others.

One more thing about the mascara though is that it comes in three colors: black, brown and blue. I usually stick with black, but I recently got the blue to shake things up and it works exactly the same. It’s just a different, more fun color.

You can get the Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara on the Thrive Causemetic’s website in all three colors for $25 each.

Available in black, brown and blue.
