Thrift Store Shopper Finds Book Honoring Pup and It's Just So Heartbreaking

There's nothing like the pain of losing a pet you have spent your life with. Pets love us unconditionally, they comfort us in times of need, and bring unexplainable joy to our lives. Some pet parents honor their beloved fur babies after they cross the rainbow bridge by creating a memory album.

TikTok account holder @Girlevery.where was visiting a thrift store where she discovered someone had donated an album like this, and it's just so touching.

The caption reads, "I found this book at the thrift store and stood there crying while I flipped through the pages. A man named Gary Shaw made this for his dog, Bogart."

The way Gary talks about Bogart is just so beautiful. "He was my friend, my soul mate, my muse, my companion, my everything. It was an honor and a privilege to be his earthly guardian. " It ends with "I love you Bogart. You be a good boy. See you soon." Oh my heart!

TikTok users are also so moved by this and @Bemore comments, "Oh my God this crushed me! And the fact that this man’s family donated it instead of keeping it." @Orca adds, "I hope Gary and Bogart are having the best time together in heaven." @Kel responds, "I hope Gary and Bogart are together somewhere on the beach sharing French fries." @Lily adds, "I was not prepared to snot cry over this video. Bogart and Gary forever."

We don't know for sure if Gary passed along with his dog, and there are actually a few people in the comments who are claiming to be Gary. All I know is that you should never give away books like this. If you want to donate it, I'm sure a veterinary office would love to have it in their lobby to comfort other grieving pet parents.
