You may have noticed (due to the internet chatting about it) that Miley Cyrus left her father Billy Ray Cyrus out her her acceptance speech at the Grammys amid reports that their relationship has been strained since Billy and Tish Cyrus' divorce in 2022. And now a source is out here telling Us Weekly that Billy Ray has tried reaching out to Miley to congratulate her.

“He’s tried reaching out to Miley many times and congratulated her on her Grammys,” the insider said. “The kids have chosen sides, but friends are hoping the rift doesn’t last forever. Miley and Billy Ray are on the outs. Miley’s very close with her mom and is standing by her.”

Fans clocked potential tension between Miley and her dad when Miley attended her mom's wedding to Dominic Purcell—which her siblings Braison Cyrus and Noah Cyrus opted out of. At the time, a source told E! News that "The divorce between her parents have put a strain on her relationship with her dad and it's been hard to connect with him in the last year. She hopes they can eventually work on their relationship."

Meanwhile, Us Weekly's source says that Noah has “always been close with Billy Ray” which has "caused a rift between her and Miley.”

Another insider tells the outlet that “The family dynamics haven’t been the same since the divorce, and now that Tish and Billy Ray are with other people, there’s even more division among them all."

Oh, and yet ANOTHER source (source #3 to be exact) says “Miley hasn’t gotten over the disrespect she feels Billy Ray showed Tish and the family."

Sounds pretty complicated and lord knows family drama is relatable to all of us—but here's to hoping everyone can mend fences!
