The Thomas’ brand is synonymous with breakfast time. Whether you’re a fan of its English muffins, bagels, or even swirl breads, you likely have the iconic brand in your household somewhere.

Now, Thomas’ has announced it's expanding its breakfast line beyond the traditional items to sell a new bread—and one that’s not part of the swirl line. Instead, the all-new loaf will combine two breakfast staples—buttery toast and warm, flaky croissants—into one.

Thomas’ new Croissant Bread bakes croissant layers directly into a pre-sliced loaf that makes breakfast time more convenient. So, instead of making croissants from scratch—or even waiting for your favorite store-bought crescent rolls to bake—you can grab a slice of decadent, flaky Croissant Bread, pop it in the toaster, and be on your way in no time.

"What makes Thomas' Croissant Bread so uniquely good is that it's made in a croissant-style lamination process resulting in 72 layers in each loaf to get that signature flakiness you expect from a croissant," said Ted Swain, Director of Innovation for Thomas' Breads.

Whether you top it with peanut butter, bananas, and honey (à la Stanley Tucci) or use it to make your holiday overnight breakfast casserole, you’ll want to add Thomas’ Croissant Bread to your next grocery list.

The bread is rolling out in stores across the Northeast—including Safeway, Stop & Shop, ShopRite, The Giant Company, Giant Food, Price Chopper, Acme, Shaw’s, Tops, and Big Y—and will retail for about $5.99 per loaf.

However, if you can’t get your hands on the Croissant Bread—we have more exciting Thomas’ news for you. The fan-favorite cranberry-flavored items are returning to major grocery stores nationwide.

For the first time in five years, Thomas’ is bringing back its seasonal, limited-edition Cranberry English Muffins, Cranberry Bagels, and Cranberry Swirl Bread. The cranberry-flavored products began hitting shelves on October 2 and will be available while supplies last—but because they have such a cult following, we’re not sure that will be very long.

One thing’s for sure—between the new Croissant Bread and returning cranberry bread products, our fall and winter breakfasts are about to be top-notch.
