Thomas Genon's Drifting Skills Are Yet Again Proving The E-bike Doubters Wrong

There is a myth that electric mountain bikes are not maneuverable.

In fairness, most of us schlubs struggle to do a 10° whip on our light carbon bikes. However, the pros are not constrained by such limitations.

Watch French Freerider Thomas Genon drift around on his e-bike below.

In this video, Tommy G shows off his riding skills drifting around on a loose trail. Genon’s style and control are undeniable! Even though he is on a heavy e-bike Genon drifts like it's nothing.

Thomas Genon is a French rider who competes in slopestyle and Rampage. Of course, he is not limited to flipping and spinning! Genon can fill the role of a “shredit” rider too.

It is an infuriating fact that professional riders of one discipline often clean up at others too. Like they are already good at the on thing, save some talent for the rest of us!

The best example of this is Brett Rheeder. At the Silverstar Crankworx Summer Series Downhill in 2020, Rheeder got third, beating multiple Enduro and Downhill pros. Even though Rheeder mostly messes around in his backyard learning tricks, he still has the skills to come out and throw down against the best in the world.
