This popular pre-shower scalp oil sold out in days when it first launched at Sephora — now it's back in stock

Soothe your flakey, dry scalp before your next shower with the best-selling Briogeo Scalp Revival Hair Oil that's dermatologist-approved.

From its popular deep-conditioning mask to its split-end mender and its dandruff-relief shampoo, Briogeo has been there with a treatment for so many of our hair-related predicaments. It being wintertime, you may well be dealing with that pesky old standy — a dry and flaky scalp. Well, whaddaya know? The hair-care brand's newest addition to its lineup is the dermatologist-approved Scalp Revival Rosemary Pre-Wash Scalp and Hair Oil.

Unsurprisingly, it sold out within two weeks of its initial launch at Sephora earlier this year, but thankfully it's back in stock. Jam-packed with vitamins, lipids and a trio of powerful oils, this 99% naturally-derived formula is designed to both soothe and balance an irritated scalp. Suitable for all hair textures and types, this clean blend also hydrates your hair, so it's a win-win.

This oil has a precision tip so you can apply it easily and target particularly problematic spots.

The oil itself is very lightweight and gentle — no tingling sensation here — and is meant to be applied directly to a dry scalp (and the parched locks nearby). You can rinse it out after 10 to 15 minutes if you have somewhere to be, or you can leave it on overnight and really let it work its magic. According to a press release from Briogeo, in a consumer perception study, 97% of participants agreed their scalp felt more moisturized and soothed after one use. When you're ready to wash it out, shampoo and condition your hair as normal. It also doesn't hurt that the oil smells like fresh rosemary!

To get a pro's take on how (and if!) the included rosemary, castor and tea tree oils can really help with a dry, flaky scalp, we reached out to New York-based cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Michele Green, M.D.

Dr. Green explained, "Rosemary, castor and tea tree oils naturally have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, which can help treat and prevent dandruff or flakiness. Some types of scalp irritation, dandruff and even hair loss can be caused by inflammation affecting the scalp and hair follicles, which the anti-inflammatory properties of these oils can help alleviate and prevent."

If you seem to be waging a losing battle with dandruff, this pre-wash oil may be a perfect addition to your hair-care routine. "The antifungal properties of these oils can inhibit the growth of yeast, which largely contributes to the presence of dandruff and causes itching. These oils also have a moisturizing effect, making the hair look shiny and healthy and providing hydration for a dry scalp," Dr. Green shared.

And as if shiny hair and a healthy, flake-free scalp weren't enough, Dr. Green added, that "rosemary, castor and tea tree oil have also been shown to improve blood circulation, which allows more oxygen and essential nutrients to be delivered to the hair follicles and facilitates the removal of natural toxins to maintain hair follicle health. By promoting blood circulation and improving follicle health, these oils can help treat and prevent hair loss or thinning." Well, that's our idea of an expert seal of approval!

All that's left now is for you to snag your very own bottle of Briogeo's Scalp Revival Rosemary Pre-Wash Scalp and Hair Oil at Sephora and Ulta.

PS: This miracle worker is free of sulfates, silicones and artificial dyes.
