Things to do this weekend: Mamma Mia, spring fling, salamanders

(WHTM) — April has arrived, and with it are plenty of events in the Midstate. Here is abc27’s list of things to do from Friday, April 5 to Sunday, April 7.

Harrisburg area

Downtown Camp Hill Spring Fling — Downtown Camp Hill is having a Spring Fling event this Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will take place at participating locations downtown and will feature live music, yard games, spring beverages, kids’ entertainment, and more. Art in the Wild 2024 Outdoor Exhibition — This Sunday marks the official opening of Wildwood Park’s 2024 Art in the Wild outdoor exhibition. This year’s theme is “Nature Heals” and the exhibition is open from dawn until dusk through September. The exhibit is free to visit and no registration is required.

York area

Critter Crawl: Salamanders — Horn Farm, located in York, is hosting a herpetology class this Saturday followed by a critter crawl, during which participants will search for salamanders. The event is open to people of all ages, though organizers request that children under 12 be accompanied by an adult. Children under 3 may not be well suited for the activities. York Symphony Orchestra Concert — The York Symphony Orchestra is presenting its concert: “Liszt & Rachmaninoff: From Canvas to Concert” this Saturday, April 6. The concert features the work of composers inspired by paintings. The show will be located at the Appell Performing Arts Center. Hershey area

Mamma Mia! — The Hershey Theatre will present the hit musical “Mamma Mia!” this weekend. The show opened on Tuesday, April 2, and runs until Sunday, April 7. More details, including showtimes and how to purchase tickets, can be found on the Hershey Entertainment website.

Carlisle area

11th Annual Downtown Carlisle Bunny Hop — The annual Downtown Carlisle Bunny Hop is back this weekend, happening on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. The downtown-wide event intended for children ages 12 and under will be hosted by Georgie Lou’s Retro Candy and will feature treats, games, and crafts.
