Make the scenic drive to Beallsville for a weekend of fun. Presented by the Southeastern Ohio Pulling Series and Outback Motorsports, the spring truck and tractor pull is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Saturday. Watch trucks, tractors and more pull weight to see who can go the furthest. There is a $10 charge for admission and a $25 hook fee for those wishing to participate. National Road Yard Sale

If you love chasing the thrill of finding a true gem at a yard sale, get ready for days of treasure-hunting. The 21st annual National Road Yard Sale is once again taking place throughout Guernsey and Muskingum counties. The yard sale runs from Wednesday, May 29, until Sunday, June 2, and attendees can travel along U.S. 40 and search for the sales. Sale times vary throughout the event, with most vendors set up on Friday and Saturday. Find fresh baked goods, tools, clothes, vegetables, and more along the route. Off to see the wizard

Head to the Cambridge Performing Arts Center for an evening or afternoon at the theater. "The Wizard of Oz" will be running at 7 p.m. May 31 and June 1 and at 3 p.m. June 2. If you miss the first weekend performances, fear not my pretty, you can catch the show again the following weekend. Based on the novel by Frank L. Baum, watch as local talent brings the beloved classic to life. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased by visiting https://www.tickettailor.com or at the door before each show. Fishing derby set for May 31

Deerassic will host the first of three youth fishing derbies from 6 to 8 p.m. May 31. The cost to register is $10 and the event is open to those ages 5 to 15. Fishing poles, bait, and equipment will be provided. Youth participants will receive a $10 gift card to the Deerassic gift shop upon arrival and all youth participants will receive a free fishing pole. Music at the Brewhouse

Start the weekend off at Guernsey Brewhouse by listening to an alternative rock set by the local band Flushed. The show is scheduled to run from 6 to 9 p.m. May 31. A new food truck will be on-location so come hungry and try Big Shrimp Energy. Upcoming events at the Brewhouse include the Impastas food truck and Sopranos trivia on May 30 and a cooking class by R & R Catering and Consulting on June 13. For more information call 740-995-3467.
