Friday: Margaret Atwood

Give a listen to the spring lecture delivered by author/poet Margaret Atwood at the Kraushaar Auditorium at Goucher College at 1021 Dulaney Valley Road in Towson. Atwood is known for her science fiction novel “The Handmaid’s Tale (1985),” which was turned into a motion picture in 1990 and television series in 2017. Learn Ceili, or traditional Irish dancing, and have fun at the Baltimore Ceili: Irish Trad Fest at The Theatre at the Creative Alliance at 3134 Eastern Avenue. Sunday: Galactic Empire with Garbage Masher and WASD

Listen to music from a galaxy far, far way at Galactic Empire with Garbage Masher and WASD at Metro Baltimore at 1700 North Charles Street. Galactic Empire is a Star Wars cosplay, heavy-metal, John Williams tribute band. Their music video for “Star Wars Theme” was a viral hit. Sunday: Red Shoe Shuffle

Get some exercise and help out a good cause at the Red Shoe Shuffle 5K Run & Walk at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maryland at1 Aisquith Street. Put on your red, white and striped socks for the walk or run. After the race, head to Celebration Village for food, fun and live music.
