Thigh-High Uggs Just Walked Down the Runway in Paris, and We Have A LOT of Feelings

We love a good comeback story—Britney Spears, Winona Ryder, Uggs. Wait, what about that last one? Yes, the world’s most comfortable boots are back and better bigger than ever. Menswear brand Y/Project showed its collaboration with Ugg during Paris Fashion Week Men’s, which included two standout styles: the thigh-high and the triple-decker.

Both versions of Y/Project’s Ugg boots will be available for purchase later this year (ranging in price from $270 to $1,380), but until then we’re left with a lot of questions. How on earth do those slouchy thigh-highs stay up? Are we supposed to wear them with pants or skirts? Do the triple-decker versions keep your feet three times as warm as a regular pair? What do they even feel like to wear?

As for that last one, Y/Project’s creative director Glenn Martens has an answer. “Putting on Uggs is like putting your foot in a warm pot of butter, and I thought why not elevate that and immerse your full legs! So we decided to design an Ugg boot that climbs up to the crotch and covers the whole leg.”

Well, there you have it, folks. If you’ve ever felt so inclined to stick your legs into a warm pot of butter but didn’t want to deal with the cleanup, you now have the perfect alternative.
