There’s a Super-Convincing New Theory About Where Javi Is Hiding on ‘Yellowjackets’
Attention, citizen detectives, there’s a new Yellowjackets theory for us to go over. The subject? Javi, who remains missing after running off into the woods during “Doomcoming” last season.
This particular theory is kinda out there (although fully convincing) and postulates that Javi is alive and potentially living in a series of underground bunkers. Sounds far-fetched, but the evidence is actually there.
Evidence #1: The somewhat confusing scene toward the end of the episode where Natalie and Travis come across a tree on their walk that has melted snow and fresh summery moss around it. Natalie remarks that the tree is “weird” and they move on, but the melted snow presumably indicates some kind of heat source.
Which brings us to this theory on—where else?—Yellowjackets’ trusty Reddit page:
“Okay, so clearly the implication is that Javi is alive and it has something to do with the Summer Stump™️. The stump doesn’t appear to be generating heat and there is no heat above ground,” the theory from u/murderousbitch reads. “I may need help understanding the flashy bits fully but we’ve seen that cement bunker multiple times. Last season I thought it was maybe not real but now I’m wondering if there is a bunker and the stump is above it? Maybe Javi found the bunker before the snow fell and has been living down there since then. I personally don’t think they would kill him and Jackie off at the same time so I think he at least lasts a bit longer.”
Which brings us to Evidence #2: When Lottie was baptized in season 1, she had visions of herself in what appeared to be an underground cement hallway. Which definitely had a bunker vibe. Seems like a pretty big clue, so…
