It may be freezing cold outside, but is it ever really too cold for a Frappuccino? That's especially true if you're single on Valentine's Day and need some sugar and caffeine to accompany your rom-com binge.
For all you singletons (and coffee-addicted couples) out there, Starbucks is here for you. Tony Aguilar, who works at a licensed Starbucks in a Tucson, AZ grocery store came up with a few Valentine's Day drinks to go with their themed merchandise. They handed out their creations in samples and they quickly became a hit, with customers ordering the drinks by name in the store. "I was actually surprised with how popular they became," Aguilar says.
Aguilar posted his store's formulations on Reddit, and they look seriously tasty:
The Valentine Frappuccino
Strawberries and Crème Frappuccino with raspberry pumps to make it extra pink, vanilla bean in the middle, and blackberry on top, topped with whipped cream.
The Love Bean Frappuccino
Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with raspberry pumps topped with raspberry-infused whipped cream and chocolate curls.
The Java Berry Frappuccino
Java Chip Frappuccino topped with raspberry infused whipped cream.
According to a Starbucks spokesperson, there are more than 36,000 ways you can customize a Frappuccino when you factor in ingredients like milks, syrups, and toppings. But don't walk in and ask for the Valentine Frappuccino, since chances are your barista may not know how to make it. "If customers would like to order a beverage that is not listed on our menu, we recommend they know the recipe so that their barista can handcraft the beverage perfectly for them," the spokesperson said.
