Amy’s vacation home in Netflix’s Beef is nothing like her primary residence: It features a bright color palette and a freeing atmosphere with walls of glass that let in ample natural light. In reality, the home is a property in Los Angeles’s Chatsworth neighborhood—and you may recognize it as a filming location for tons of other productions including the music video for Miley Cyrus’s recording-breaking song "Flowers."

The historic home, known as the Farralone House, is located at 9361 Farralone Ave and was built by renowned architect William Pereira, whose portfolio also includes the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California, and LAX airport. According to the Los Angeles Times, the house was constructed in 1951 for banking heiress Dora Hutchinson and later became home to Frank Sinatra for a decade—making it even more iconic.

The single-story home reportedly offers four bedrooms and six bathrooms across more than 8,000 square feet. Inside, the whitewashed interiors are warmed up by wood surfaces, multiple fireplaces, and the lush mountain scenery beyond 16-foot glass walls. Overlooking the Chatsworth Nature Preserve, the hilltop estate comes with a 50-foot pool, guest house, pergola for poolside lounging, gym, and massage room—all of which sit on 14-acre grounds, according to Sotheby’s International Realty. Even with all of that, there’s enough space for “equestrian facilities, a vineyard, additional residences, and other creative additions and expansions” and the parking areas can accommodate up to 200 cars for big parties, the real estate company noted. In August 2021, the estate was listed for $21.5 million.

As far as other productions go, the home is featured in Mad Men, Big Little Lies, Californication, Transformers, and Dreamgirls among others. We're sure many more productions will turn to the incredible home for its lavish setting in the future. In the meantime, you can peruse photos of the property here.
