There’s a Pretty Major Spoiler About Claire Heilig From ’The Bachelor’

It’s been 84 years since a Bachelor Nation show was in our lives (oh wait, never mind, it’s been approximately a week), but Clayton Echard’s season is arriving literally tonight. And it’s going to be dramatic from day freakin’ one. In part due to a contestant named Claire Heilig, who made quite a first impression. And unfortunately, not in a “she got the first impression rose” kinda way.

But before we get into it, FYI, this entire article is a giant spoiler. Meaning, you’re about to find out what happens during episode one of The Bachelor, sooooo get ready!

Claire Gets Sent Home on Night One

Not sure exactly how it goes down, but back in November 2021, Reality Steve reported that a contestant drank a bit much during the season and “it does not end well for her.” The person in question is apparently Claire, who gets sent home on night one (aka tonight!)—before the first rose ceremony, no less. Before we move on though, reminder not to judge Claire, or anyone, for drinking on a show where alcohol is provided. Especially considering the fact that night one is notoriously long (like, they wrap in the wee hours of the morning).

Anyway, ABC hasn’t really shown any footage of the incident in question (so it’s unclear what type of edit Claire will get or how the circumstances of her leaving will go down), but here’s a glimpse of her being upset over Clayton kissing fellow contestant Teddi Wright and saying, “Game on, bitches.”

Claire Is a Professional Spray Tanner

Twenty-eight-year-old Claire works as a professional spray tanner in Virginia Beach and is described by ABC as a “charming, outgoing and unapologetic woman with a big personality.”

Apparently, she also enjoys spending her time “at girls’ night singing along to country music, trying out a new restaurant or enjoying a bonfire.” I mean, same!

She’s a Single Mom Who Is Super Devoted to Her Son

ABC says that Claire “grew up quickly as a single mother but credits her son as her greatest achievement.” She also is “hoping for more babies in the future.” Not sure if she’s going to be on The Bachelor long enough to talk with Clayton about her life, but she’s posted a lot of sweet pics of her kid on her public Instagram account.

She’s Looking for Her Soul Mate

Claire’s preferences include “someone who is supportive and doesn’t hold her back,” but he also better wear deodorant because people who don’t make Claire “angry.” I think I speak for all of us in saying we hope Clayton wears deodorant, so moving on.

Clearly, Claire won’t be a major player this season, but if she brings the drama there’s a pretty big chance ABC could tap her to show up on Bachelor in Paradise this summer, so it’s possible she’ll be returning to Bachelor Nation before too long. Meanwhile, we’ll update this article if she ends up saying anything publicly about her appearance during tonight’s premiere episode!
