The Super Bowl is almost here, and that can only mean one thing: It's time for the playoffs! This Saturday kicks off Wildcard Weekend in the NFL, and, with elimination on the line, each game is a must-watch. For the first time ever, the NFL decided to air one of the games exclusively on a streaming service, and fans are not thrilled about it.

One of the most exciting matchups is between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins. Super Bowl champions Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce take on the high-flying (but injury-depleted) offense of the Dolphins with Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa. (Plus, Taylor Swift might be in attendance!) When the teams met up back in November, the Chiefs won 21-14. We can't predict the winner of this game, but one thing we know for sure: It's going to be cold. (We're talking temperatures in the single digits.)

How to watch the Chiefs vs. Dolphins

The game kicks off at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST on Saturday, January 13, exclusively on Peacock. Plans start at $5.99, and there is not currently a free trial. If you're planning to watch the game at a restaurant or sports bar, call ahead to make sure they'll be streaming it.

Some fans used to watching games on CBS, NBC, Fox, and ESPN are not thrilled with the decision. The NFL announced the final schedule on Instagram, and they were met with comments like, "Playoff football blocked by subscription services is ridiculous," "Peacock??? A playoff game is being streamed when NO other games are being played???," and "Do the right thing and take the game off peacock, c’mon now. That’s not cool."

Hans Schroeder, executive vice president and chief operating officer of NFL Media, addressed the situation: "Expanding the digital distribution of NFL content while maintaining wide reach for our games continues to be a key priority for the League, and bringing the excitement of an NFL playoff game exclusively to Peacock's streaming platform is the next step in that strategy."

There is one loophole: If you live in the Kansas City or Miami TV markets, you can watch the game on your local NBC station. KSHB in Kansas City and NBC6 South Florida are the only affiliates that will air the game live.
