In 2004, we were immediately enthralled with the film Mean Girls by Tina Fey. Starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried, the movie followed homeschooled Cady Heron as she starts a new life at North Shore High School in Illinois. It's there where she encounters the Plastics, the popular clique who have no problems bringing new people into their group... and spitting them out just as quick. The film became an instant box-office success, and it eventually spawned a hit Broadway musical in 2018.
Now, two decades after folks first met the Cady and the crew, we're now getting a new version. Based on the stage adaptation, viewers can sing the songs made famous by the musical in the new Mean Girls movie, which stars.

As of right now, the only way you can witness the new generation is at your local cinema. But it won't be long until it hits streaming services, and there's already a pretty big clue about where it will eventually land.
'Mean Girls'
When the original Mean Girls film debuted at the box office, the movie was being distributed by media conglomerate Paramount Pictures. Almost two decades later, folks can now stream it on Paramount+. Given how the new Mean Girls is also a film from the bright minds at Paramount Pictures, if it follows the same patterns as its predecessor, viewers can likely stream the movie on Paramount+ as well.
For those wondering if there's a release date for when Mean Girls will drop on Paramount+, not yet. According to Collider, all Paramount-produced films will land on the streamer 45 days after hitting the movie theater, meaning it won't be too much time before you can start singing along. If this is the case, then fans can start queuing up Mean Girls as early as late February 2024.
