There's Only One Thing That Makes Christina Anstead Nervous When Designing Homes

Christina Anstead makes everything she does seem effortless-flipping houses, designing gorgeous homes, and even raising a blended family of four kids (almost five!) with her husband, Ant Anstead. So fans may be surprised to learn that there's one (big) part of her job that Christina secretly gets a little anxious over, which she revealed on the second episode of season one of Christina on The Coast: designing personal spaces for clients.

"When you're flipping a house, it's really just me designing the house for the masses and I can pick whatever I want," explained Christina, who started her career as a flipper with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa before turning more to design. "But designing for a person, I have to really be intuitive about what style they're going for, and people have their own opinions. I guess they can potentially not like what I pick, so it's a little nerve wracking."

In the second episode of Christina on The Coast, the designer chose a bold black and white tile for the master bathroom. Christina's clients Matt and Ryan were skeptical at first when she laid a sample out for them to preview.

"It's hard to envision," Matt had admitted.

"But I love where it's going!" Ryan chimed in. At least Christina had that positivity to work with!

Once the bathroom tile was actually put down, the clients' first look had them a little worried. "I think [the bathroom] looks amazing," Christina said. "But I can tell that Matt and Ryan are a little bit skeptical."

The pair revealed that they were a little worried about how striking the floor was against the natural light of the bathroom, but Christina told them that the new vanity would cover up most of the flooring-after all, the designer revealed that her job is to make her client's comfortable and to help them visualize the end product.

In the end, Matt and Ryan were beyond excited about Christina's design-but are we surprised? She's designed over 150 bathrooms before, so we think she's got this covered.

"It's amazing. I'm just floored," Matt said. "It's everything we've wanted."

I mean, what else would you expect with Christina Anstead?
