There's a Limited Time St. Patrick’s Day Drink at Starbucks—and It's Not Mint-Flavored

Starbucks is shaking things up for its St. Patrick's Day offering this year, diverting from popularized mint-flavored choices for something a bit more fresh.

The chain, who seemingly noticed that mint isn't the only green-hued flavoring they could offer, is opting, instead, for a limited time matcha menu item for fans.

Enter: the Luck of the Matcha Crème Frappuccino® drink.

The spring-worthy beverage made its debut in a new social media post shared via Instagram on Tuesday, March 12, as Starbucks' official account posted a photo of the frozen treat placed on a colorful holiday-appropriate rainbow graphic.

As for flavor details, customers can expect sweetened matcha, caramel syrup, and milk, all blended together with ice and topped with whipped cream, caramel sauce, and crunchy caramel sugar.

"Your cup of gold at the end of the rainbow. ✨ Meet the Luck of the Matcha Crème Frappuccino® drink, available for a limited time," the upload was captioned, adding that it's available in the U.S. and Canada.

The comment section overflowed with joyous fans—many who've seemingly already tasted the drink—who reveled about how "yummy" it is.

"ITS SOOOOO GOOD OMG!!" one proclaimed, while another agreed it is, in fact, "so yummy."

A third simply couldn't contain their excitement, scream-writing, "I LITERALLY JUST TRIED THE ICED LAVENDER OATMILK MATCHA TWO DAYS AGO BUT NOW THIS⁉️ I'M ALREADY ON MY WAY TO STARBUCKS‼️ LOVE YOU GUYS."

"Always down to try new matcha combos," yet another admitted.

On the other hand, someone else seemed unimpressed, chiming in with, "so it’s just a matcha frap with caramel drizzle and the caramel crunch? interesting…"

The Luck of the Matcha Crème Frappuccino is available now for a limited time, but for those interested in ordering it after it's no longer on the menu, a few Starbucks insiders provided all you need to know to get your hands on it long after St. Patrick's Day.

"Just an FYI as a barista," they wrote under the social media post, "it says limited time but you can totally order this all year round." Another offered the exact order, adding, "It's the matcha Frappuccino with caramel added [and both] caramel drizzle and caramel crunch on top."
