If you tuned in for the premiere of Special Ops: Lioness on Paramount +, then you might recognize Dave Annable from the new Taylor Sheridan drama. He joined the cast of Lioness as Neil, an oncologist and caretaker to his two daughters. So far on the show, we’ve seen him deal with a lot while his wife Joe (played by Zoe Saldaña) is busy with her CIA missions. If Annable's role on Lioness sounds pivotal, you're right—he's basically holding down the fort at home. But this isn't Dave Annable's first time playing a key character. So where have you seen him before?

You don't have to look very far! Dave Annable was previously in one of Taylor Sheridan’s most popular shows. You guessed it! He was part of the original cast of Yellowstone. Although his character was short-lived (we're guessing you know what that means), he played a pretty significant role in the storyline of Yellowstone. Think back, way back, to season one of the hit western show and you'll remember that the reason for much of the drama stems from John Dutton's eldest son being killed. Yep—that son, known as Lee, was played by Dave Annable!

Though Taylor Sheridan was quick to kill off Lee Dutton from the series, fans will be happy to know that he made up for it by giving Annable the role on his newest drama. "There might have been some version of an IOU in there, you know, his feeling bad," Annable joked in an interview with Deadline. Aside from the first episode of Yellowstone, Annable has appeared in a few flashback episodes and he doesn't seem to be holding a grudge. In an Instagram post, Annable showed his support for the popular series. "Although short lived (literally)... one of the greatest experiences I've had as an actor and as a man. I love this cast. I love this crew. I love Yellowstone," he commented.

And it seems like he's no stranger to family dramas either. Dave Annable is best known for his role in ABC’s Brother's & Sisters which aired for five seasons from 2006 to 2011. He played Justin Walker who is the son of Nora Walker (Sally Field) and one of the younger siblings in the Walker family. You also may have seen him in CW's Walker or in Freeform's holiday movie No Sleep 'Til Christmas which he starred in along with his real-life wife Odette Annable.
