[Updated 7/29/19] 12:14 PM]: One would think that following the wedding of Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau, fans would stop speculating as to whether or not the YouTubers' relationship, and subsequent marriage, is fake, but considering the strange nature of the event, the suspicion is worse than ever.

Last night, Tana and Jake "tied the knot" in Las Vegas at a Jana-themed mansion, before heading to the Sugar Factory for the reception. The night included a fight at the ceremony, three dresses for Tana, and an Oprah influencer, but that's not even why people are questioning the legitimacy of the union.

Jana is a wild couple, and a traditional wedding was not expected, but it's Jake's brother, Logan's, sentiment about the marriage that really got people talking.

When asked by a reporter if he thought the marriage would last, Logan very quickly responded, "no," saying he gives it a "month, month and a half." Obviously, this isn't really what you want to hear from the groom's brother at the wedding, unless of course he knows it's all fake.

The biggest piece of evidence that the wedding wasn't legit, however, came at the end of the night from the couple themselves when they left their reception separately. Jake was seen surrounded by women heading to some casinos, while Tana left shortly after and got in an Uber.

Wouldn't the newlyweds want to spend their first night as a married couple together? One would think, but of course they may not be a married couple. It's unclear if we will ever know if Jana legally got married at their wedding, or if the whole thing was simply for clout, but we will probably get some more information in the upcoming days when the two undoubtedly post vlogs about the night on their respective YouTube channels.

[Update 7/1/19 2:20 PM]: Jake Paul is worth $11.5 million, so you would expect him to drop some big bucks for Tana Mongeau's engagement ring, right? Well, apparently that's not the case.

After much speculation, I can confirm that Tana's engagement ring is, in fact, not real. The bling, which is available on adinasjewels.com, is made from cubic zirconia, not diamond, and it cost just $125.

Don't believe me? Here's a side by side.

Of course, $125 isn't a small amount of money, but one would expect Jake to get Tana something a little more extravagant for their big engagement (considering he lives in a mansion). And while this doesn't prove anything, it is another sign that their engagement might not actually be real, but just a publicity stunt to get more engagement on their YouTubes. In fact, I predict 40+ minute long explanation video in out future.

Many have been skeptical about the relationship since the couple was only dating for about two months before Jake popped the question. Of course, real engagements have occurred that quickly (who remembers Ari and Pete just one year ago?), but there's also the fact that Tana and Jake are constantly talking about how their relationship is simply for clout.

Of course, we will have to wait and see if Jake and Tana actually get married, or if it's all for show, but either way, I'm enjoying the ride, and the multiple YouTube videos that come with it.

Original post: Once again, the YouTube community is ablaze in gossip following the engagement of Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul on Tana's 21st birthday the other night. The whole spectacle obviously delighted some, but it left Tana's ex, Bella Thorne, in tears, and many are just downright confused. The pair has only been dating for two months, so the engagement seems pretty unrealistic, and now, there's more evidence that the whole thing is fake.

First, I have to say that Tana has confirmed that it is, in fact real. When Fuller House star Ashley Liao tweeted about the reality of the engagement, Tana responded saying "It's not [a joke]. I'm engaged. Holy f*ck."

I mean there was a cake, sparklers, and, of course, that massive ring, but according to Ira Weissman, founder of The Diamond Pro, who talked to E! News about the bling, we should be skeptical about the rock.

"Nothing is a sure thing without seeing the ring(s) up close, but everything about this little clip says 'fake,'" Ira said, referring to a clip posted by Tana showing off the ring the night of the engagement.

"You can see the exaggerated sparkling light reflecting off of something in the bottom right of the frame in the beginning of the clip," he continued. "This is exactly what you would want to use to try to enhance the sparkle of a simulated diamond to make it look like the real thing. Plus, the glassy look of the very large center stone as it's brought closer to the camera also points heavily towards it being a cubic zirconia."

So, basically Ira is accusing Tana of using an app like Kira Kira, which adds sparkle to a video, in order to make the stone look more real. Jewelry expert Lauren McCawley told E! that if the ring is, in fact made of cubic zirconia (a crystal often used as a cheap alternative to diamond), it would probably cost about $200, as opposed to the $75,000-$100,000 price tag jeweler Jerry Blickman estimated for the real thing.

Of course, we know that Jake has no problem shelling out money for his bae. I mean, he did buy her a $124,000 car for her birthday, but the pair has only been dating for two months, so an engagement seems pretty wild. Not to mention, YouTubers love messing with their viewers, and a fake engagement sounds like the perfect YouTube prank, if you ask me.
