Therapy Dogs Provide College Students with Much-Needed Comfort During Exams

Sweet dogs provided stress relief for the students.

Exams week is so hard and stressful, and any college student can tell you while cramming for tests and pulling late night study sessions they will take a little comfort anyplace they can get it. Which is why we absolutely love what Kalamazoo College did for their students during exam week.

Check out the following post to see these gorgeous dogs helping ease some test anxiety.

The post reads, "Kalamazoo College has gone to the dogs! We're providing some stress relief to our students today as they prepare for finals with therapy dogs visiting the Kalamazoo College Library."

Proud Grandma @LindaHoppesShephard comments, "Love it that is my grandson....... Mason." @LamineStarr adds, "I'm a fan of this university.I want to study there." We would too with this awesome program!

And additional post reads, "Giving high-fives. Enjoying attention. Providing a sympathetic ear. Playing lazy. Therapy dogs such as Sophie have been doing it all this term when they've visited students at Stetson Chapel. Sophie was there again today, and other therapy dogs will visit the Kalamazoo College Library from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday to provide some stress relief for students studying for their winter finals. Stop by for some puppy love!"

The Animal Health Foundation wrote about how dogs relieve stress and said, " pets are known to reduce stress. Cortisol is a hormone activated by stress, and studies have found that being around animals can decrease cortisol levels. For this reason, many offices are starting to allow employees to bring dogs to work, and some universities are letting students borrow dogs during stressful times of the year."

Sounds like these students will at least feel a lot less nervous during finals after spending time with some sweet pups.
