Is the TheraFace the Ultimate Beauty Device for On-the-Go Living ?

An old colleague of mine used to tell me that life is too short to be low maintenance. I should mention that this person worked in beauty—which isn't to cast judgement, because after 7 years in this industry, I have accrued quite a few beauty tools that I use and love on a weekly basis. I won't say that I'm high maintenance, but I will give you my roster to be the judge: There's my CurrentBody LED mask, my Ziip microcurrent device, and of course, a coterie of rollers, gua-shas, and other de-puffing wands that I employ to keep my face sculpted, lifted, and youthful. That said, it is very difficult to take this at-home facial routine on the road with me. And I travel—a lot. So when TheraBody announced that their newest tool was in fact an all-in-one facial device, I was intrigued. Ever since the TheraFace Pro arrived in by possession with both the hot and cold rings, I have taken it with me on three trips and I have made quite a few observations.
First and foremost, the device, especially if you buy the cooling and warming attachments, is all encompassing. No only does it have percussive treatment features (with three attachments) but it also features a microcurrent ring, and an LED light therapy attachment with red, blue, and infrared red light, as well as a cleansing brush head. And then there's the cooling and warming heads. That's 6 treatment capabilities total.
Plus, some of the treatments you can do at the same time. For example, you can use some of the percussive attachments while using the LED attachment, busting tension and boosting collagen production, as well as reducing inflammation and breakouts in one fell swoop. Or you can use the tapping feature with the cooling head, to banish an oncoming tension headache. It's really versatile—and I might add—convenient when you're traveling and feeling blah. A couple of minutes in the airport lounge gives you more than enough time for a double duty treatment. I also really enjoy the percussive attachments for its muscle tension benefits. With the original Theragun, you couldn't use the device on your neck. It's definitely still worth being cautious, (and of course, never use the percussive device on the front of your neck), but if you're feeling like your neck is bothering you from bad posture, this device is a god-send—particularly if you hunch on flight, which I do.
My favorite of all the attachments is the microcurrent device, because it really does give you instantly sculpted and de-puffed results. This has been a gamechanger for me because in the past I've left my standalone versions of these attachments at home as it's not efficient packing to bring them all with me on a trip. But these really do help get you red carpet ready without sacrificing a ton of space in a suitcase.
The cold and hot attachments are great, too. Of the two, I am partial to the cold because it's helpful when you wake up hungover (sorry Mom) and a far less messy option than sticking your face in an ice bucket. I would note, however, that while the cold attachment is cold and stays consistent at its chilliest temp, I do wish that it could get a little colder. And the hot attachment is nice—I could see it being really comforting during the winter.
As for the cleansing head.. I don't use it. I'd much rather just use my hands. That's entirely a personality thing, which is to say, that's not what I am looking for in a device. But if you love a scrubby brush, all the more power to you.
And to those who think that a device like this is extraneous, Gua Sha works great if you want an effective but not as faffy daily treatment. However, if you're looking for multi-functionality because you consistently put in the time for these treatments anyway, it's definitely worth considering. For me, the TheraFace Pro has earned itself a permanent space in my carryon bag—and I'm entrusting it to get me formal event ready for more than four weddings this summer. I don't say that lightly.
