French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron officially arrived in Washington, D.C. earlier this week for the Trump administration’s first official State Visit with the pair.

On Monday, Donald and Melania Trump greeted the French diplomats at the White House to plant a tree before a pre-State Dinner. For the occasion, both Melania and Brigitte turned to French designers. Melania wore a black Givenchy dress with a cape and Christian Louboutin shoes, while Brigitte wore Louis Vuitton.

While the two looks were fairly neutral, things changed on Tuesday when the Trumps welcomed the Macrons back for the official White House arrival ceremony ahead of the evening's State Dinner. Brigitte wore a similar white dress with a matching jacket. But it was Melania who definitely got people’s attention in an all-white look that stood out because of one accessory: her oversize, wide-brim hat.

She reportedly wore a $2,195 Michael Kors blazer with a belt and matching pencil skirt. As for the hat, CNN reporter Kate Bennett also confirmed that it is also made by Kors.

On Twitter, people made comparisons of Melania’s look to TV characters like Scandal’s Olivia Pope, while others enjoyed it.

Previously, Melania hasn’t worn something quite as oversize, however, she has worn a hat before.

Last August, the First Lady wore a baseball cap that read “FLOTUS” when she arrived to Houston in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. That same trip, she was criticized for departing the White House in Manolo Blahnik stiletto heels.
