Netflix has shared the first teaser for Guy Ritchie's series The Gentlemen, which will be coming soon to the streaming service.

Based on his film of the same name, we follow Theo James as Eddie Horniman, who unexpectedly inherits his father's sizeable country estate, where he discovers it is part of a cannabis empire.

The opening line in the teaser says, "Do you know what I admire about the British aristocracy? They're the original gangsters", and we're then introduced to some of those unsavoury characters who want a piece of the operation.

Joining James in the series is Daniel Ings, Kaya Scodelario, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Chanel Cresswell, Michael Vu, Max Beesley, Jasmine Blackborow, Harry Goodwins, Dar Salim, Pearce Quigley, Ruby Sear, and Peter Serafinowicz.

Determined to extricate his family from their clutches, Eddie tries to play the gangsters at their own game. However, as he gets sucked into the world of criminality, he begins to find a taste for it.

The characters are different from Ritchie's 2020 film, but the world has the same sleek style and wit bubbling at the center.

All eight episodes of The Gentlemen will be hitting the platform in March.
